G-20 Summit: Shrinagar Organised 60 Foreign Delegates Participated
The summit is the first important international event in Kashmir since Article 370 was repealed in 2019. Earlier, when the delegates arrived in Srinagar for the meeting, they were greeted warmly. From May 22-24, the G20 Summit will focus on five main priority areas: Green Tourism, Digitalization, Skills, MSMEs, and Destination Management.
Security has been beefed up in Srinagar in preparation for the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting, which begins on Monday. From May 22 to 24, Kashmir will be subject to a three-tier security grid for overhead surveillance and drone monitoring. National Security Guard (NSG) and MARCOS commandos are stationed around the site, while the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s special operation group (SOG) will be stationed in numerous locations to provide security cover in the case of a terror attack.
