National Dengue Day 2023: PHC Silani(Jhajjar) Observed National Dengue Day at SJS GGSSS, Silana. Dr. Anchal Tripathi, Additional SMO and Mahinder Singh Yadav, Principal addressed the students to spread awareness and encourage preventative measures as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare established the annual observation of National Dengue Day on May 16.

National Dengue Day is marked on May 16 of each year. To raise awareness and encourage preventative measures, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has formally declared every year’s National Dengue Day. “Fight Dengue, Save Lives” is the theme for this year’s National Dengue Day.
In India, dengue is still one of the most common vector-borne infections. National Dengue Day is observed nationwide on various levels via events organised by heath centers and hospitals in state and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Prevention is critical in reducing dengue transmission.
To prevent the disease, it is critical to reduce mosquito breeding grounds by removing standing water from nearby areas and neighbourhoods.
Mosquitoes can be kept out of homes by closing doors and windows and installing insect screens. Using mosquito repellents while outdoors, wearing protective clothes, and sleeping with mosquito netting are all efficient ways to decrease mosquito bites. Awareness of dengue fever symptoms is very critical for early detection and prompt medical care.
