The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the JEE Main 2023 session 2 examinations across the state at various locations. For the current academic year, the examination began on April 6, 2023, and will continue until April 12, 2023. Applicants who want to improve their chances of success should understand that the paper is designed to assess basic concept understanding, problem-solving ability, and time management.
Aspirants must use an effective and strategic revision strategy.
Here are a few pointers from Unacademy Educator Neeraj Chaudhary to help them ace the exam.
TIPS FOR PREPARATION JEE
1. MATERIALS
Aspirants must have access to well-structured textbooks in order to effectively study and practise a wide range of concepts. While NCERT textbooks are widely recognised as an excellent resource for JEE Mains preparation, aspirants should also consider a few other textbooks written by different authors.
For example, for Physics, aspirants can consult HC Verma Parts 1&2 or Understanding Physics by DC Pandey, as well as NCERT.
2. MAKE PERSONAL NOTICES
Aspirants will receive numerous notes from teachers, friends, and study groups, but they must go through them in order to create their own effective and useful notes. These notes are essential for quick revisions because they help aspirants thoroughly memorise the concepts.
3. Mock Exams
Aspirants must take mock tests on a regular basis to assess their knowledge and become acquainted with the exam format. This will boost their confidence while also tracking their progress over time.
Aspirants will also be able to identify and evaluate areas where they are weak and work towards improving them by answering questions from previous editions of the exam.
4. ON THE GO REVISION
Aspirants may not always have the time to sit down and review their work. They can, however, take small steps towards incorporating it to increase the effectiveness of their preparations.
Applicants, for example, can pre-download and listen to videos or podcasts if they have long commutes. They can also carry question sheets with them and solve them whenever they have a free moment during their daily activities.
5. SEEK ADVICE
While self-studying, many aspirants tend to focus on a few topics that interest them while ignoring others. As a result, it is critical for educators to assist applicants in developing a comprehensive and balanced study plan in order to achieve a high rank.
The day of the exam can be both nerve-wracking and exciting. Keeping a cool head and mastering a few tricks, on the other hand, can help aspirants be better prepared for the exam.
TIPS FOR TRYING JEE EXAM
Instead of reading from books, take notes. If you want, go over a few formulas and key points again, but don’t read anything new.
Aspirants are advised to devote equal time to all subjects – physics, chemistry, and biology – during the exam, i.e. one hour to each.
Begin with the subject in which you are most confident and attempt simple questions first. This will boost your confidence and allow you to better manage your time.
A positive attitude and confidence are critical components in preventing panic in critical situations. Don’t be alarmed by one difficult question; instead, concentrate on the ones you are confident about.
While taking the exam, don’t think about the outcome; instead, concentrate on doing your best and making the most of the three hours you have.
Because the JEE Main examination is the first step in one’s career, preparing for it can be a difficult process. However, it is critical to prioritise one’s physical and mental well-being in order to face all challenges with confidence.
